This work depicts one of the last blocks of social housing still standing in a soon to be gentrified neighbourhood in south Rotterdam. The painting is based on two photographic references of this building seen from different perspectives. The painting places these two pictures next to each other to evoke the feeling that there is someting off with the depicted scene.
This painting was exhibited in 2024 as part of the show Landscapes towards the end of the Maas.
